Examples of Our Work
Sage Resources was contacted by the director of a community college with the spark to create a Community Leadership Program. Following a brainstorming session, Sage Resources was contracted to create and coordinate Leadership Chaffee County. This start-up project involved curriculum development, marketing, recruitment, and full project implementation. The result was a 9-month program providing 15 emerging leaders with high level leadership skills, pivotal exposure to community issues, and valuable networking opportunities. The outcomes of this program were palpable in the community and the program is now a sustainable option of the community college.
Gunnison County received a multi year state grant to reduce substance abuse through community level change. Sage Resources was contracted to develop and coordinate this project. Over the last two years Jere’s work has involved a comprehensive needs assessment, capacity building, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation process utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). Jere facilitates a broad based coalition comprised of community leaders, agency directors, business owners and local citizens. Her knowledge of evidence-based prevention has been instrumental in this project’s ongoing coordination and long term impact.
A small corporation experienced substantial growth over a two-year period, doubling the size of its staff in one year. Sage Resources was contracted by the company president to help them develop and formalize a company-wide leadership model that reflected their values and vision. This project included research and development of the model, training of the leadership team, Myers-Briggs based team building session, meeting facilitation and “leaders as coaches” trainings.
