Jere Thomas, LCSW
Jere Lester Thomas is a coach, consultant and facilitator with over 19 years experience in the fields of Leadership Development and Human Behavior. Jere’s proven ability to provide quality, outcome based services has benefited a variety of individuals, organizations and foundations.
As the Co-founder and former Executive Director of the non-profit cityWILD, an award winning youth leadership program, Jere was the recipient of an Echoing Green Fellowship and the National Outdoor Leadership School’s Alumni Achievement Award. She is senior faculty at the National NOLS, currently in the Professional Development Program and as an international staff trainer. In the academic realm, Jere has served as masters level, adjunct faculty at University of Denver and Prescott College.
Jere holds a BA in Psychology from Brown University; a Masters in Social Work from CSU Sacramento; a Leadership Coaching certificate from Georgetown University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the professional organization Coachville.
Tony Barreiro, MA
Born and raised in New York City, Tony has been a resident of the Rocky Mountain region for more than 15 years. Now the Director of the Community Leadership Institute at Johnson & Wales University, Denver, he began his career in leadership development as an instructor, and later as a senior faculty member with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Later, Tony moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he gained experience in the non-profit and education sectors as a teacher, program director, and school administrator. He also began work as a facilitator with the Leadership Institute at Santa Fe Community College.
As a trainer and facilitator, Tony has worked with a wide variety of community and leadership development programs including the American Leadership Forum (ALF), AmeriCorps, and Leadership New Mexico. Additionally, Tony’s training and facilitation experience includes work with over two dozen corporations including the Honda Motor Company, Blue Cross, General Mills, and Timberland.
Tony earned a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) at Bastyr University.
Allison Bergh
Allison has worked for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) for 14 years, with clients ranging from high school students to NASA astronauts. She has been both a field instructor and administrator, with over 160 weeks in the field educating, facilitating and coaching students and clients. Her strengths include relationship development, honest and direct communication, coaching, training, and a passion for helping people grow.
Allison developed and directed the Women’s Initiative, a women’s mentorship program through the NOLS Human Resources Department, from 2002- 2007. She recruited, mentored and trained over 150 women in their career development. Allison received the NOLS annual staff award in 2006 as a result of this work.
Most recently, Allison has been working courses for the NOLS Professional Training Department. She teaches and coaches leadership, communication and decision making skills for a variety of clients, including NASA astronauts, Wharton Business School students, family foundation leaders, and others. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA.
